The
Town of Ludlow Mass is a progressive suburban community located in the
northwest corner of the metropolitan area of Springfield. It borders on
the cities of Springfield and Chicopee and the towns of Granby and Belchertown,
with Westover Industrial Airpark to the northwest. Town residents feel
that Ludlow has established itself as a target for industrial and retail
growth while maintaining its pleasant community atmosphere.
Ludlow provides its residents with
a community hospital, rehabilitation center and a town health department.
Housing is available for the elderly, the handicapped and low income families.
Ludlow provides two congregate living units accommodating a total of seven
individuals, and has the largest senior center in western Massachusetts.
Ludlow's school system runs from
K-12 and the town has a Boys' and Girls' Club which provides the Latch
Key program for children as well as a summer youth camp and other recreational
activities.
Ludlow Mass is located in West central
Massachusetts, bordered by Chicopee on the west, Granby on the north, Belchertown
on the north and east, and Wilbraham and Springfield on the south. Ludlow
is 7 miles north of Springfield, 47 miles west of Worcester, 84 miles west
of Boston, and 141 miles from New York City. |
